News » Girl arrested for bringing gun to Waupaca high
Apr. 19, 2012 A 16-year-old Waupaca high school student is in custody, and she's facing three gun-related charges for alledgedly bringing a handgun to school.
District Administrator David Poeschl says the girl brought the gun to school on Tuesday and showed it to a classmate. That student told an adult and the adult contacted the school.
Poeschl says the girl apparently took the gun home with her and didn't show up for school that next day. He says he hasn't had a chance to talk her, and he doesn't really know why she brought the gun to school.
She has been suspended pending an expulsion hearing, but that won't happen until the board has opportunity to talk with her and he says he's not sure when that will be. |
