The state justice department recently issued its 100,000 concealed carry permit, just six months after the law went on the books.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says DOJ employees worked very hard to clear a large backlog of concealed carry applications.
Van Hollen says they're still receiving hundreds of permit applications each day.
He says the department will likely exceed its initial projections of issuing 125,000 licenses by November. |
