News » Appleton making progress on 4K plans
Apr. 23, 2012 A special panel is taking an in-depth look at starting a four-year-old kindergarten program in Appleton.
Assistant Sup. Judy Baseman says they could have a recommendation in the fall.
Baseman says it would probably have to be a community-based program, with some private child care providers involved. She says they're also looking at the possible curriculum, to make sure it would connect with their regular kindergarten programming.
Baseman says if the school board signs off on the idea, the district could implement it as early as the 2013-14 school year. |
