News » Home sales up in March
Apr. 23, 2012 Home sales are on the rise in the state, and especially northeast Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association says figures were up 25 percent last month, compared to March of last year.
President Mike Theo says the numbers were even better in the northeast region -- sales were up a third from March of last year, and median prices climbed 3.7 percent, $112,000.
Median sale prices are 0.4 percent statewide, to about $123,000.
Theo says the number of homes on the market is down 12 percent from a year ago, and that's helping to stabilize prices.
Year-to-date sales are up 26 percent in the northeast region, while the median price climbed 2.7 percent. |
