A filmmaker is profiling a Fond du Lack police officer and his K-9 partner, for a documentary about heroic officers.
Producer Bill Erfurth says he'll be in the city next month to film part of the program with officer Ryan Williams, and his partner Grendel.
He'll be telling the story of a standoff,last year,where Williams and Grendel were shot and seriously hurt, and officer Craig Birkholz was killed.
People in Fond du Lac can take part in filming at the Police and Fire Memorial in the city's Hamilton Park.
Williams will also be filmed at the Nation’s capital next month, when he's honored as a National Law Enforcement Memorial Officer of the Month.
Half of the proceeds from the documentary will benefit the national memorial. |
