News » Walker says reforms saved $1 bil so far
Apr. 24, 2012 Governor Walker says the reforms under his collective bargaining law have already saved taxpayers $1 billion.
The governor is facing a recall election this spring, and the state Democratic Party is calling that claim "bogus."
The figures from the governor's office don't entirely verify all of the savings, but his office says they came from media reports, local budgets, and surveys of local government officials.
The Democratic Party argues it's a blatant attempt to distract from the governor's record on jobs. |
