News » Four arrested for G.B. armed robberies
Apr. 24, 2012 Four men are in custody for a string of armed robberies in Green Bay, and police are trying to track down a fifth suspect.
Capt. Jim Runge says they're responsible for five holdups -- three this month, and two in February.
Nelson Baez-Rios was arrested on four counts of armed robbery, and Jose Roman-Zayas on three counts. Pedro Munoz-Estrada and Luis Baez-Rios are behind bars on single counts.
Authorities say Hector Blanc-Vargas is wanted for his role in the robberies.
Runge says they participated in two hold-ups at La Herradura, and others at Bank Mutual, Dad's Liquor, and La Piedad Mexican Mini Mart. He says they weren't all involved in each robbery.
Runge says when they see a rash of hold-ups, typically one or two people are responsible for all of them. He says it's unusual for a larger group to be involved. |
