News » MADD supports party host laws
Apr. 30, 2012 A new tool to combat underage drinking is catching the eye of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Frank Harris with MADD Wisconsin says "social host" laws target adults who host drinking parties.
The village of Oregon in Dane County recently became the 18th Wisconsin community to pass a law to crack down on underage drinking party hosts.
Harris hopes more follow their lead, because teen alcohol use is connected to 6,000 deaths a year.
Harris says some social host laws include fines of up to $2,000. |
