News » Kohl touring state with Barrett
Apr. 30, 2012 The primary is just a week away in the recall race for governor, and one of the Democratic front-runners is making stops across the state with a longtime federal lawmaker.
U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl flew into the Green Bay area this morning with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
Kohl says Barrett will focus on the economy and jobs. He says Barrett will bring people together in a positive way.
Barrett says he admires that Kohl works with people, and doesn't try to start political wars.
Barrett is one of four Democrats in the race to take on Governor Walker in the recall election on June 5. He'll face former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Sen. Kathleen Vinehout, and Secretary of State Doug La Follette in the primary, one week from tomorrow. |
