News » N.J. gov. stumps for Gov. Walker
May 1, 2012 Governor Walker supporters need to do more than write a check, to keep him in power.
That's one of the messages given by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie during a Walker fundraiser Tuesday in Green Bay.
Christie says Walker's reforms in the last budget are a great example for how other states, and the country, can get on sound financial footing.
He says it's great that people paid $200 a plate for a luncheon, but it's more important for them to help drum up support for Walker in their community.
Walker says his collective bargaining law, and other reforms, are working, and the results will really start showing if he survives the recall election next month.
Christie says many states are modeling their reforms after those pushed by Walker, including education reforms that he's fighting for in New Jersey. |
