A Neenah lawmaker says a Democratic ad that claims Governor Walker .jpg) gave away $1 billion to corporations is misleading at best.
Republican Sen. Mike Ellis says the figure is based on a ten-year period, not the current two-year budget. He says people can't assume those financial incentives will be in place for 10 years.
Ellis says the incentives weren't corporate giveaways, because businesses have to actually hire people, or relocate to the state, to cash in. |
