News » State reaches out to global tourism market
May 3, 2012 State tourism officials are hoping to tap into the international market.
Deputy Secretary Dave Fantle just got back from an international pow-wow in Los Angeles. He says it was hosted by the U.S. Travel Association, and he met with representatives from China, Japan, Brazil, and several other countries about promoting Wisconsin to travelers.
International visits now account for $600 million in tourism spending every year in Wisconsin. Fantle says the goal is to increase that significantly. |
