Valley Transit ridership jumped by 11 percent during the first quarter of the year.
Spokeswoman Nikki Voeltzke says that continues a trend that started last year, and it's the highest first quarter total since 2005.
She says people are getting back into the workforce, following the recession, and some are taking the bus.
Voeltzke says they saw a 42 percent increase in night-time ridership in the first quarter.
She says last year's overall ridership totals were the highest for Valley Transit, since 1995. |
