News » Celebration honoring WWII vets
May 4, 2012 An event in the Green Bay area is honoring World War II veterans.
About 600 vets are at the National Railroad Museum in Ashwaubenon for "Operation Greatest Generation." State veterans affairs secretary John Scocus is helping host the celebration.
Veterans from the state's homes in King and Union Grove arrived by bus this morning. Scocus says they can watch different re-enactments, and tour General Eisenhower's command train.
The event is open to the public, and it runs until 4:30 p.m. Friday.
