Filming for a documentary about police officers who die in the line of duty is going on this afternoon and tomorrow in Fond du Lac.
Heroes Behind the Badge producer Bill Erfurth says they wanted to include the story of a Fond du Lac police officer and his partner who responded to a standoff.
Erfurth says the story stood out because it happened in small-town America, where people really care about one another. He says that has extended to their production.
Erfurth is a retired lieutenant from the Miami-Dade police department says he decided to produce Heroes Behind the Badge to educate people about the sacrifices officers and their families make to keep people safe.
The film is scheduled for release this fall. |
