A former priest convicted of abusing a student at a Green Bay Catholic school will be a free man, after serving only seven years of a 32 year sentence.
An attorney for 69-year-old Donal Buzanowski says a change in the state's statute of limitations law led to an agreement with prosecutors that will uphold the conviction, but let the former priest out of prison.
Buzanowski could be released as soon as next week. He'll remain on probation and will be on the sex offender registry.
In 2005 Buzanowski was convicted of sexually abusing a student at Saints Peter and Paul school in 1988. |
