Appleton police want to keep better tabs on  registered sex offenders.
Sgt. Polly Olson says they're training 26 patrol officers, with the help of the state's probation and parole department. He says they'll verify the addresses of offenders, and build relationships with them, along with the neighborhood.
Olson says until now, probation and parole agents primarily handled that.
Registered sex offenders are required by law to provide a current address. |
