News » GOP, Dems working hard before recall
May 10, 2012 With less than four weeks to go before the recall election for governor, both political parties aren't wasting any time in their efforts to gain support, and turn out the vote.
State Democratic Party chair Mike Tate says they're confident Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett can defeat Governor Walker this time around.
Republican Party spokesman Ben Sparks says they've been reaching out to voters for some time, and they've already contacted two million people over the phone. He says that's more than they made in 2010, when Governor Walker beat Barrett by five percent.
The recall election is June 5. |
