News » GOP planning for big convention in G.B. area
May 11, 2012 The state Republican Party is expecting about 1,600 people to attend its annual state convention in Green Bay this weekend.
Party chair Brad Courtney says they'll focus on the effort to keep Governor Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch in office. He says they'll ask everyone to help at their local Republican call center.
Courtney says because they're expecting about 600 more people than they have at a typical convention, they had to move the event from the KI Convention Center to Shopko Hall. |
