News » County starting work on admin. building
May 11, 2012 Crews are making some repairs to the outside of the Outagamie County administration building, but the major work on the inside won't start for a few months.
County Executive Tom Nelson says a company is power washing the exterior, and doing some tuck-pointing right now.
In August, he says they'll close the main building, to replace the infrastructure inside the walls and ceilings. He says that includes the wiring, plumbing, and heating and cooling systems.
Nelson says they'll have to move over 100 employees, from 10 departments, in order to replace the building's infrastructure. He says they haven't finalized the location yet, but county officials are close to a deal.
The county budgeted nearly $7.5 million for the project. The work is supposed to be done by next year's Memorial Day. |
