News » Private union reacts to Walker video
May 11, 2012 The head of a large private labor union in Wisconsin says a newly released video showing Governor Walker talking about "dividing and conquering" unions is very troubling, but not surprising.
The video shows the governor's biggest campaign donor asking if he could make Wisconsin a completely red, right-to-work state.
Phil Neuenfeldt of the AFL-CIO says the governor's response shows why Wisconsin is the most polarized state in the country.
Governor Walker said today that he's not interested in pursuing a right-to-work bill. He says it's interesting that his opponents are trying to rehash and replay the debate.
Neuenfeldt believes the video shows who really has the governor's ear.
The documentary filmmaker who made the video is a Democrat, and a donor to Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett's 2010 campaign for governor. |
