News » Reid golf course to have 9-hole course in 2013
May 11, 2012 The city of Appleton is going to close some of the holes at Reid golf course next year, as part of a stormwater project, and officials are exploring some different activities for that period.
Public works director Paula Vandehey says they will still be open for the season, and people will be able to use a nine-hole course. She says they'll continue to host leagues.
Vandehey says they'll also be able to have up to four other holes open at various times, and they could use them for things like twilight or junior golfing.
The city is building two stormwater retention ponds on the course, and Vandehey says they'll start work in November, once the golf season is over. |
