News » Appleton soldier's death ruled suicide
May 14, 2012 The Army's Criminal Investigation Command says an Appleton soldier died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
25-year-old Garrick Eppinger Junior was working as a supply clerk in a munitions post at Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan when he was found dead in September of 2011.
The Army called for an investigation into his death, and a medical examiner recently determined that he committed suicide.
Eppinger's family is waiting to see the Army's full report on the investigation.
Eppinger graduated from Appleton North high school in 2004. |
