News » Walker, Kleefisch confident on jobs
May 14, 2012 Governor Walker says job numbers that were initially released for last year were incorrect, and he expects revised numbers to show more job growth from 2011.
When he ran for governor in 2010, Walker promised to help create 250,000 jobs during his four-year term. Right now, the state is far behind the pace needed to accomplish that goal.
Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch says she's still confident that they can hit that number.
Walker says he expects to see an "explosion" of new jobs following the June fifth recall election.
He says many companies are waiting to see how the election turns out, before they commit to adding new workers.
