News » ATC showing routes for new transmission lines
May 14, 2012 A company plans to build a 345 kila-volt electrical transmission line between Green Bay and the U.P. and today the American Transmission Company is holding an open house to show off their plans.
Spokeswoman Jackie Olson says they're showing a number of different ways they could complete the project, and they hope people in the path of the line help decide which one is the best.
ATC plans to hold more hearings once they start narrowing down their options. Depending on the final route, the project could cost between $470 million and $705 million.
Olson says they hope to start construction in 2015.
Today's hearing runs until seven tonight, at the Radisson Convention Center in Green Bay. |
