Appleton's mayor and the CEO of ThedaCare rode the bus yesterday...to bring attention to a new bus route that helps people get medical services.
Mayor Tim Hanna says Valley Transit's new route 16, services the Evergreen Drive area, and stops by the Encircle Health building.
He says Valley Transit added the route after ThedaCare asked for some help, because many patients had to walk a long way, or get a cab to get there.
ThedaCare CEO Dean Gruner says the service helps address a need for public transportation to medical services, that was found in the Fox Cities LIFE study. |
