The city of Kaukauna is expanding a city park, as part of a Kaukauna Utilities project that is decommissioning one hydroelectric power plant, and building a new one.
Community development director Bob Jakel says Hydro Park is going to get a significant expansion. He says they'll fill in the canal that will no longer be used, and add that area to the park.
Jakel says the park will include informational displays about Kaukauna's history and hydroelectricity. It will also have room for 1,500 people.
He says it will also enhance the Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway. |
