May 16, 2012 An investment firm is joining the Appleton Paper company in a $675 million business agreement.
Appleton spokesman Bill Van Den Brandt says the infusion of money from Hicks Acquisition Company II will put the company on more stable footing, and will help future expansion opportunities. He says in return, Hicks will get a share of the company's equity.
Van Den Brandt says the company's management structure will remain in place, and its headquarters will remain in Appleton.
The company is changing its name, in the future it will be known as Appvion...which is a combination of the words applies and innovation. |
