News » DOT holding meetings on Hwy. 41 conversion
May 16, 2012 When a portion of Highway 41 becomes an Interstate highway, there will likely be some impacts on eastern Wisconsin, and the DOT is holding a series of meetings to tell people what to expect.
Spokesman Kim Rudat says they'll start with a presentation that shows where the Interstate will run.
Rudat says studies show that an Interstate designation is very attractive to businesses that are looking to relocate, and that could translate to economic growth from Milwaukee to Green bay.
The first meeting is today from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. today at the Brown County library in downtown Green Bay.
Fox Valley Technical College in Grand Chute is hosting the second meeting tomorrow, at the same time.
Two meetings are also scheduled next week in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac. |
