News » Personal income up nearly 5% last year
May 16, 2012 A report from the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance shows that personal income in Wisconsin grew by nearly five percent last year.
Alliance policy analyst Kyle Christianson says that's the largest increase in five years, and a sign that the state is coming out of the recession.
He says part of that growth was due to more people finding a job in 2011. He says the state's workforce grew by 0.4 percent.
Christianson says he doesn't have the data to show how many jobs that equates to. He says Wisconsin's job growth was less than half of the national average. |
