Local police are celebrating Police Week together in downtown Appleton today. 
Appleton Police Sergeant Pat De Wall says a variety of police vehicles will be on display at Houdini Plaza.
Winnebago County will have their Hover craft and armored car, the Grand Chute, Town of Menasha, and Fox Valley Metro departments will all have squad cars on hand. He says the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms is bringing their Command Post.
The event runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Children at the event can be fitted for free bike helmets.
De Wall says the event is an opportunity to build a good relationship with the community. |
