News » New job numbers show losses in April
May 17, 2012 Wisconsin lost 6,200 private sector jobs last month.
That's the finding of a report released today by the state's workforce development department.
The report also showed that the state's unemployment rate dropped from6.8 percent in March, to 6.7 percent in April.
Yesterday DWD officials sent out a revised report showing that the state gained 23,000 jobs last year, that varies greatly from a federal report that showed the state losing 34,000 jobs last year. |
