An Appleton police officer who investigated several complicated sexual assault cases last year, and helped launch a new program to keep tabs on registered sex offenders, is the city's officer of the year.
Sgt. Polly Olson says she's proud of the honor...and the program that she started is working.
Officers Ryan Neff and Blake Rice were also honored during last night's city council meeting for earning police star medals for arresting a suicidal person that threatened them with a knife. |
