A man opened fire into a crowd of about 100 people in downtown Madison early this morning, leaving at least three people with gunshot wounds.
Police say a black man between 20 and 25 years old fired the shots in the 600 block of University Avenue and took off.
A 26-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man, and an 18-year-old man were expected to be treated and released from a hospital after they were shot. Police say they were not UW-Madison students, but they live in Madison.
Investigators are trying to figure out the suspect's motive. |
