News » Marathon runners won't get refund
May 21, 2012 Runners will not get a refund, if they were still on the course when organizers of the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon stopped the race yesterday.
A spokeswoman say runners agree to a disclosure when they register, and that explains their cancellation policy.
Race officials stopped the marathon because the rising heat and humidity were creating health concerns. Nearly 20 runners were sent to area hospitals, mostly for heat stroke. More were treated for heat-related illnesses by EMTs, on-site. |
