News » Housing market improves statewide
May 22, 2012 The state saw a double-digit jump in home sales last month, compared to April of last year.
That's according to figures from the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
Sales climbed almost 20 percent, and median prices were for the second straight month -- nearly 2.5 percent, to $128,000.
Association President Mike Theo says the figures were also positive in northeast Wisconsin. He says sales were up nearly 14.5 percent last month. Prices jumped 11.5 percent, to $117,500.
Year-to-date sales are up about 20 percent across the state. Median prices slipped 1.1 percent in the first four months. |
