News » State drops in bike-friendly ranking
May 22, 2012 Wisconsin is dropping, in a group's ranking of the most bike-friendly states in the country.
Tom Walsh of Fox Cities Greenways says the state isn't keeping pace, and developing new bike lanes and trails. He says that's why Wisconsin fell to sixth on the list from the League of American Bicyclists.
Walsh says on a local level, Fox Cities Greenways likes the long-term plans for more bike lanes in Appleton. He says they're also encouraged by new bike lanes in Little Chute, and plans in Neenah and Menasha.
The League of American Bicyclists says Washington is the most bicycle-friendly state in the country. Minnesota ranks second. |
