News » New bus serving dental needs of children
May 23, 2012 A new bus will help children from low income families get dental care.
The Tri-County Community Dental Clinic unveiled its new vehicle yesterday.
Executive Director Bob Glass says the fully-equipped dental office will travel to schools four days a week during the school year, to treat children who have a tough time getting to their Grand Chute office.
He says their first stop will be Carl Treger elementary school in Oshkosh.
The J.J. Keller Foundation is chipping in $300,000 for the $780,000 project. Foundation Director Mary Harp-Jirschele says she approached Glass about creating the mobile clinic.
Glass says during the summer months, they'll use the bus to treat children at local Boys and Girls clubs, and at YMCAs. |
