News » Outagamie Co. to streamline child services
May 23, 2012 A national group will help Outagamie County streamline its child welfare and juvenile justice programs.
County Executive Tom Nelson says only four counties in the country are taking part in the program from the MacArthur Foundation and The Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps.
He says the county could use some help, because the number of foster care placements from child abuse or neglect cases doubled, over the past four years.
Nelson says the group will also help problem children get the counseling, and other services they need to keep them from getting into more legal trouble. |
