News » Humane societies chipping in to help dogs

Only 16 of the 72 huskies rescued from a Fond du Lac County farm earlier this month, are still at the Fond du Lac Humane Society's animal shelter.
Manager Renee Webb says other shelters took most of the dogs off their hands, and that's helping them take better care of the huskies that are still there.
Webb says she's amazed by the outpouring of support from the community. She says so many people dropped off donations that the shelter doesn't have any more room for additional dog food.
Webb says people who want to help can drop off gift cards to businesses that carry the food, so they can pick up more when it's needed. |
