News » DOT plans project on Wrightstown's Hwy. 96
May 23, 2012 Starting in August, parts of Highway 96 in the Wrightstown area are going to be under construction for the next four years.
DOT project manager Natasha Gwidt says they're going to resurface about two miles of the road, east of the Wrightstown village limits, this year.
After crews do some utility work next year, she says they'll start on a new crossing over the Fox River, in 2014. She says they're building the new bridge 100 feet to the south, and the existing one will stay open during construction. The old bridge would be removed once the new one is finished.
The bridge project is scheduled to end in 2016.
The DOT showed off the updated plans last night during a public meeting at Wrightstown high school. |
