A Shawano area man was the victim of an accident between a car and two semis yesterday near New London.
The Outagamie County Coroner's office says Thomas Veigh was a passenger in the car, and the 65-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The State Patrol says a 45-year-old Menasha man was behind the wheel of the car, and he was trying to pass a semi on Highway 45, around 3 p.m.
They say he was passing on the right, and he lost control when the lane came to an end, and he was on the gravel shoulder. They say he hit the semi, and then veered into an oncoming semi. Veigh was thrown from the car.
No one else was seriously hurt. |
