Members of the Appleton Yacht Club are settling into their renovated facility along the Fox River, and the city's mayor says it's another positive sign along the Fox River.
Mayor Tim Hanna was at the club's ribbon-cutting ceremony last week, and he says it's a landmark for boaters who are coming from Little Lake Butte des Morts into Appleton.
The private club leases the land from the city.
Hanna says he's happy they were able to extend their lease agreement, and that the club's board of directors wanted to invest in the property.
The expansion project cost nearly $500,000.
