A lawmaker from Green Bay has concerns about the state's "deer czar."
Democratic Senator Dave Hansen says James Kroll is an advocate for private hunting ranches, and he worries that Kroll will advise the DNR to privatize Wisconsin's deer hunting season.
Hansen points to an article printed in a Texas wildlife magazine where Kroll called public game management the "last bastion for communism."
Hansen says he wants to hear Kroll's recommendations before next week's recall election.
Kroll was hired as a consultant to the state.
He's expected to present his recommendations sometime this summer. They would only be advisory. |
