News » Spring temps set record high
May 31, 2012 Appleton and Green Bay saw 35-year-old records fall, this spring.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Roy Eckburg says the average temperature in Appleton from March through May was 50.9 degrees. That tops the old record of 50.7 degrees, set in 1977.
Green Bay's average temperature during that time was 51.3 degrees, well above the old record of 49.5 degrees, which was also set in 1977.
Eckburg says the cool temperatures we have today, will warm by the end of the weekend, but he's not sure what the rest of the summer holds.
The average high for this time of year is in the low 70s. |
