News » 1 killed in crash with car, 12 motorcycles
June 1, 2012 One person was killed, and eight motorcyclists were taken to hospitals, after a car crashed into their group yesterday afternoon in Fond du Lac County.
The sheriff's department says a 25-year-old Calumet County man crossed the centerline in the town of Taycheedah, and he hit some of the motorcycles, around 3 p.m.
Four people were flown by helicopter to Theda Clark in Neenah, including the driver of the car. Three are in critical condition, and the fourth is in serious condition.
Five others went to a Fond du Lac hospital.
Capt. Dean Will of the sheriff's department says there were 12 motorcyclists, and 10 of them were either hit by the car or debris.
All of the motorcycle riders are from Michigan.
The Community Blood Center is asking for blood donations to help the victims. Officials say they're very low on Type O-Negative blood. |
