News » County hands over park to Hortonville
June 1, 2012 Outagamie County is handing over Black Otter Park to the village of Hortonville.
County Executive Tom Nelson says the village already owns Alonzo Park next door, and it's inefficient to have two jurisdictions maintain the properties.
He handed over the deed during a ceremony yesterday afternoon, and Nelson says there are some requirements. He says anyone in the county will continue to have access to the park, and any services that are available.
Nelson says he started talking with village leaders about the consolidation last fall. |
