An early morning robbery report was apparently a hoax.
Appleton police were called to the Valley Mobil station on S. Oneida Street around 3 a.m. for a report of a man threatening an employee with a gun, and fleeing with cash.
Authorities say they arrested the employee and another man for the robbery. 20-year-old Andrew Lemberg and 20-year-old Jedediah Filen are behind bars for a possible theft charge.
Investigators found the stolen items, and the gun used in the incident. |
