The man hired to evaluate the DNR's deer management program, is responding to claims that he feels public game management is a form of communism.
In an 11-year-old story, Kroll was quoted as calling it "the last bastion of communism." Kroll says the reporter misquoted him.
Kroll says he has no plans to suggest privatizing the state's deer hunt, or eliminate hunting on public land. He says if anything, the state needs to find more hunters.
Kroll says he'll give his recommendations to the governor on June 25. |
