News » State Patrol stepping up truck inspections
June 4, 2012 There's been a 40 percent drop in accidents involving large trucks, over the last 10 years, and the State Patrol is crediting an annual inspection effort.
Capt. David Pabst says they're running their 72-hour Roadcheck program from tomorrow to Thursday. He says brake problems are the most common issue they see.
Last year, authorities inspected nearly 725 trucks, and they shut down more than 170 of them. About 40 drivers were also taken out of service. |
